Gerald D. Wages
Gerald D. Wages is a retired Executive Vice President of North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. Following his initial retirement in January, 2012, he continues to serve the organization as Vice President for External Affairs. In his part-time role, Mr. Wages is responsible for the external activates of the NMHS organization.
Since joining the Medical Center in August, 1969 as Assistant Administrator and CFO, Mr. Wages has served in a variety of system administrative positions within the NMHS organization, including Interim President, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, Finance, Vice President for Corporate Services and CFO.
Mr. Wages is a graduate of Tupelo High School, and he earned his bachelor’s degree
in accounting from the University of Mississippi, Oxford in 1967. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Wages is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association, and the AHA Regional Policy Board for Region 4 (chair 2007-2011). He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Hospital Association (chair 2005-2006). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Healthcare Providers Insurance Company (chair 2003-2004).
Mr. Wages is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His civic activities include board membership of St. Luke United Methodist Church, United Way of Northeast Mississippi (president, 2006), MEGAPOP, and the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
