Philip C. Shackelford

Philip C. Shackelford is the Executive Director of the Lee-Itawamba Library System. Prior to this role he served as Library Director at South Arkansas College, where he also served as President of the Arkansas Library Association and was named an Emerging Leader by the American Library Association in 2019. Philip holds an undergraduate degree in History from Kent State University, where he also completed his master’s degree in History and master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Philip is a military historian and the author of Rise of the Mavericks: The U.S. Air Force Security Service and the Cold War, which was released by Naval Institute Press in April 2023.
